handmade book concept

The tactile or tangible is important to my practice; my preference is for making and the production of artefacts in the form of prints, paintings, sculptural objects or hybrids that transform 2D images into 3D pieces. Making a book as a repository for my writing was an opportunity for me to spend time enjoying the materiality of the paper, thread, fabric and tools that I used to gain some bookmaking skills. I was also able to repurpose some of my prints as a repository for reflections on my ideas and interests.
